At Bradenton Women’s
Center, we welcome all forms of health insurance including traditional plans, HMOs, and PPOs. We do expect you to have
payment for your copays and deductibles at time of service. In addition, if your insurance lists certain procedures as an
uncovered benefit, we do expect you to pay at the time of service. You will need to reschedule your appointment if you
cannot come up with your copays or deductibles. Check with your insurance provider if you are unsure of your plan’s
policies and benefits. Your insurance company can also verify if Bradenton Women’s Center is a participating
provider. If you are unsure whether we accept your insurance, please contact our Insurance department. We do not take
any Government Insurance such as Medicare, Medicaid, Medicare HMO, Medicaid HMO, Tricare, Champus, ChampusVA, or Tricare Standard
or Tricare Prime.
UNITEDHEALTHCARE: As of October 1, 2014: We will not participate in Beacon/Labcorp.
We will not be calling United to obtain permission to get a pap smear, a blood draw, or a biopsy. As we have
done in the past, we will obtain permission from the patient to do any procedure. As for blood work, we will give
you a slip and you will have to choose which lab to go to in order to have it drawn. We have no idea what your insurance
will cover or not cover.
Center provides a service to our patients, not the insurance companies. Therefore, responsibility for all charges rests
with the patient regardless of insurance coverage. If your treatment is covered by insurance, be sure to give us full information
about your coverage. A copy of your insurance card usually will suffice.
Bradenton Women’s Center earnestly tries
to hold the line against the rising cost of medical care. Since prompt payment allows us to reduce our office costs and to
keep our fees lower, we must request payment at the time of your visit. For your convenience, we do accept VISA, MasterCard,
Discover and cash. We do not accept American Express or checks. If you ask us to bill you, there will be a service
charge added to the billed amount in order to cover postage and handling.
If you have a problem paying your bills,
please speak with someone in our Billing Department to set up a payment plan. Bradenton Women’s Center is always
willing to work with anyone who shows good faith in meeting her financial responsibilities.
